Cathy started her tenure at Ithaca College as a student and is a proud alumnus of the Class of 1982. Cathy has worked for multiple offices including the Office of Public Safety, Office of Judicial Affairs, and the Office of Residential Life. While in the Office of Residential Life, Cathy spent many years in the Quads Area Office. There, she was known as the “queen of the quads”, supporting students in the Quads, Emerson Hall and the Garden Apartments. In 2020, Cathy moved up to the Circle Apartments to support that office. Anyone who has worked with Cathy knows that her commitment to her work not only provides a calm to the everyday chaos, but allows for an environment where everyone can thrive. During her time at IC, Cathy was also an active member of the Toastmasters International club on campus where she mastered the art of public speaking.
Words alone cannot capture the role Cathy has played in the Office of Residential Life. Her leadership, attention to detail, and care for student success is remarkable. Cathy has touched the lives of many office assistants, resident assistants, and professional staff for the better.
We will ALL miss Cathy and are confident that she will remain connected to Ithaca College through the lasting friendships and community connections she has built. Bomber pride runs strong in the family as Cathy’s three children, Andrew, Peter, and Patricia all graduated from Ithaca.
Cathy is not one to be the center of attention so please join us in personally thanking her for all of the contributions she has made by sending best wishes in retirement through a private note or email.
