The long-running Ithaca tradition prepares to host its 46th event
Tickets for this year’s ITHACON comic convention are available for purchase now. The event will be held at Emerson Suites the weekend of April 22 to April 23. Anyone who purchases tickets by April 16 will receive a Swag Bag featuring up to $40 worth of merchandise upon check in.
ITHACON is the nation’s second longest running comic convention, and this will be its 46th year. This event highlights comics, cosplay, gaming, anime, manga, and pop culture. The convention is presented by the Comic Book Club of Ithaca, and continues to highlight the local fan experience. Over 50 guest artists and writers are expected, including comics editor and writer Will Dennis, Star Trek actor J.G. Hertzler, artist/illustrator Steve Ellis, game designers Harold Sipe and Meg Stivison, and many more!
Students can gain Career Connection credit for volunteering. The volunteer sign up is on IC Engage at https://ithaca.campuslabs.com/engage/event/8970467.
Ithaca College student and staff membership is $10.00 for both days (ID required). For general attendance, full weekend tickets cost $20.00, while tickets for Sunday access cost $10.00. Youth memberships (ages 7-17) are $5.00, and children under 6 can attend for free. Tickets are available at ithacon.org.
