laurels

It's a wrap!

FLEFF 2023 concluded Sunday night April 9 after three weeks of  65 events including Zoom panels and interviews, hybrid events, in person concerts and roundtables with over 50 screenings of 26 films, and many post-screening talkbacks.

Huge thank yous to our festival partner, Cinemapolis, for collaborating with us to show first run festival films, our fully embodied theatrical exhibition since 2019. And thank you to the Park Center for Independent Media for their key collaborations and support.

Thank you to the over 100 guest filmmakers, artists, scholars, journalists, activists, community members, musicians, and more who shared their work and ideas in a variety of forums.

Special thanks to all the legions of Ithaca College faculty who contributed to FLEFF 2023, sharing research, ideas, music, projects, and conversation. Thank you as well to our 75 student brand ambassadors.

And THANK YOU to our lively and engaged audiences of faculty, staff, students, alumni, Ithaca Community members, and people from the region and around the globe who joined us.

It's been four years since FLEFF was embodied, with great concerns looming about whether audiences would come back to the concert halls, theater, and roundtables.

And---they did.

More people attended Zoom, hybrid, and embodied events than the FLEFF team ever imagined!
