Walter Byongsok Chon (Theatre) Guest-Lectures on Dramaturgy at Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.

Walter Byongsok Chon, Associate Professor of Dramaturgy in the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, was invited, with his co-author Anne Hamilton, to present a Zoom class on dramaturgy at Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria, on April 12.

They provided an overview of the art form of dramaturgy and summarized the chapters in their book Dramaturgy: The Basics (Routledge, 2023) to the students in the Dramatic Arts Department in professor Babatunde Allen Bakare’s class. They also held a Q&A with the professor and the students.
