Commencement Weekend is considered Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday. Time prior to Friday evening is considered the regular work week.
Exempt Staff (Benefits eligible): Please work with your supervisor to take some compensatory time off in exchange for your work commencement weekend.
Non-exempt staff (Benefits eligible): To log time, you will select “commencement” type for hours worked on your timecard to record your time worked. You are paid 1.5 times your hourly rate for hours worked for commencement.
You will also select “supplemental time earned” to record hours that can be used as time away at a later date (this value should NOT exceed your regularly scheduled daily hours of 7.5 or 8 - for example, if you work 12 hours on Sunday, you can only claim 7.5 or 8 hours of supplemental time earned for that day)
