Ithaca College's Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life is pleased to share the exciting news that it has finalized its plans for the leadership of the BOLD Women's Leadership Network for the 2023-24 academic year. We are pleased to announce that Mish Lenhart has agreed to assume the responsibilities as the Director of the BOLD Program in addition to continuing her work as Director for the Office of Student Engagement.
“I would like to share my great appreciation to Mish for her willingness and desire to take on this additional role for the upcoming academic year,” said Bonnie Prunty, Vice President for Student Affairs and Campus Life (SACL). “Mish is an invaluable member of our SACL team with extensive experience in leadership development. I know she will not only provide amazing support for our rising senior cohort of BOLD scholars, but also play an integral part in developing the future vision of the BOLD Program at Ithaca College.”
Since Mish’s arrival at Ithaca College in 2008, she has played a vital role in expanding opportunities for students to connect with each other and the larger Ithaca community. Serving as the Director for the Office of Student Engagement, she has not only provided oversight of Ithaca College’s 200-plus student clubs and organizations but has also developed a large portfolio of programs to foster personal development and leadership skills.
Mish currently leads the coordination for a large array of events and programs including, but not limited to: the Student Leadership Institute (SLI), Leadership Scholar Program, Jumpstart: Lead-In, Women Leaders Series, oversight of Ithaca College’s Student Leadership Consultants (SLCs), the Knowledge to Action Leadership Retreat, and a wide-ranging list of awards and scholarships to recognize outstanding community service and engagement.
Mish’s substantial background in leadership and program development, coordination and delivery aligns with her additional responsibilities as Director for the BOLD Program. She will work to deliver a robust leadership development program for the current members of Ithaca College’s sixth cohort of BOLD rising seniors. Additionally, Mish will also provide important leadership and collaboration, as Ithaca College continues to work in partnership with the Helen Gurley Brown Foundation, which sponsors the grant funding for the BOLD Women’s Leadership Network member institutions. Mish will serve as a key lead in the upcoming grant funding process set to occur in Fall 2023.
“I am honored to take on this new role and am excited to get to work with the dynamic students in our senior BOLD cohort,” Mish said. “I look forward to supporting them in pursuing their passions and helping them make transformative impacts to our campus through their project work!”
