Asma Barlas, Professor Emerita of Politics, was invited by the Department of Islamic-Religious Studies, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität, Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, to give the keynote at the international conference, "To be or to Belong? Identity and the Process of Belonging of Muslim Communities in Pluralistic Societies," participate in a panel discussion and conduct a workshop for students, in June.
