Patricia Zimmermann, Charles A. Dana Professor of Screen Studies and Director of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival, served as co-facilitator of the daily opening and closing group discussion convenings at the 5th Annual International Film and Media Conference (IFM) June 7-9, 2023.
Zimmermann facilitated these twice-daily interactive group discussions with Heidi Rae Cooley, University of Texas at Dallas, to explore the theories, methods, and practices of the 2023 conference themes of care, collaboration, and craft.
An international virtual convening, the IFM conference gathers academics and practitioners to explore new media forms. Zimmermann served on the organizing committee for the conference, and also is on the editorial board of the Interactive Film and Media Journal.
