Audition for the Fall Season - Center for Theatre and Dance

Are you interested in auditioning for the fall productions at the Center for Theatre and Dance? Please follow the guidelines/instructions below to submit your audition form by Friday, August 18 at 6pm eastern. 

General Auditions begin on Sunday, August 20 at 3pm in Dillingham. 
Callbacks will take place throughout the following week. 

This auditions process includes casting for: 

  • The Wolves 
  • Disney's Newsies 
  • New Play Incubator

The Fall 2023 Audition form is now live for submissions. Before submitting your materials, please make sure you read through the instructions below.

Submissions are due no later than 6:00pm eastern on Friday, August 18th.

Again, here are the Fall 2023 Audition Requirements / Guidelines

All BFA Acting and Musical Theatre students are required to participate in the general auditions at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters.

BFA Acting students who do not wish to be considered for the musical productions are required to audition with one monologue, no longer than one minute in length AND participate in the dance or a mover’s call.

All BFA Musical Theatre students and those BFA Acting students who wish to be considered the musical productions are required to audition with one monologue, no longer than one minute in length, one song*, and participate in the dance call. The music cuts for the song are to be 16 bars for ballads or 32 bars for up-tempo pieces.

Non-Theatre Performance students wishing to be considered for the musical productions are required to audition with a with one monologue, no longer than one minute in length, one song*, and participate in the dance call. The music cuts for the song are to be 16 bars for ballads or 32 bars for up-tempo pieces.

All other students wishing to be considered for productions OTHER than the musical productions are required to audition with one monologue, no longer than one minute in length, and do not participate in the dance or mover’s call.

*Please prepare a contemporary musical theater song (16 bars for ballads/32 bars for up-tempo) by Alan Menken or one of his contemporaries. Please do not sing from Newsies. Do, however, tailor your selection to any character from the show that attracts you, keeping in mind the vocal range of that character (needn’t match exactly).
