The on-campus Food Pantry (now known as "Prunty's Pantry") is now open and available to students, staff and faculty.
As of August 23rd, the pantry hours will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:15 – 2:00pm and Wednesdays and Fridays from 4-6pm. The pantry will be closed on Mondays for restocking and cleaning. Students, faculty or staff who are unable to access the pantry during these hours, or who would prefer to shop more privately can contact Karen Walls at kwalls@ithaca.edu to set up an alternate time.
The on-campus food pantry is a permanent location on campus which stores food and grocery items, personal care products, household paper products, dairy products, frozen foods, and some fresh produce. Prunty's Pantry is located in the DeMotte Room which is located on the lower level of the Egbert Hall/Campus Center building. To access this space, you would go down the stairs to the left of the Information Desk in the Campus Center.
All members of the campus community can utilize the pantry by stopping by during open hours (there is no income information required to shop). Shoppers should bring their IC ID with them. You will be asked to check in once you arrive and then will be able to shop. Shoppers are limited to one bag of food per visit, but can visit as often as they need to in order to provide for their needs. Shoppers should bring their own reusable grocery bag.
The pantry will remain open as long as we are able to have volunteers to help during the scheduled open times. Faculty, staff and students are invited to volunteer by signing up here.
We are also accepting donations of non-perishable items and reusable bags! These items can be left at the Information Desk in Campus Center.
