With several first-years in the lineup, the Bombers crushed RIT 39-5, opening the season with a big win! As the season opener approaches, IC Rugby is looking to expand the roster - no previous experience is needed!
HOW TO JOIN?
Simply come to a practice! Bring cleats or sneakers, a water bottle, and wear athletic clothing. We will give you a mouthguard to mold and teach you how to play. NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY! Literally. None.
PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
- Mondays:5:30-7pm (Yavits Field)
- Tuesdays: 5:30-7pm (Yavits Field)
- Wednesdays: OFF DAY
- Thursdays: 5:30pm-7pm (Yavits Field)
- Fridays: 4:00-5:30pm (Yavits Field)
(It’s ok miss a practice because of work or a class conflict)
HOW DO I GET TO YAVITS FIELD?
It's the old field hockey field, down the hill from CNS, adjacent to the practice football fields. There is a visitors parking lot next to Yavits. Basically, walk down from the Park School, turn left and you’ll see the team.
WHAT IF I'M NOT 100% SURE I WANT TO PLAY?
That’s totally cool – come, try it, and then decide. No stress.
I'VE NEVER PLAYED RUGBY BEFORE, IS THAT OK?
Most of the team didn't start rugby until they arrived at Ithaca. Really no experience necessary. Literally. We mean it.
