As a part of the First Friday events, a monthly celebration designed to promote entrepreneurism and creativity, local artist Ed Catto’s new art show, A Brushful of Pulp will be hosted at The Good Shepherd’s Brewing Co. in the heart of Auburn NY’s downtown.
Catto will feature new works including paperback cover art, portraits, logo illustrations and his new vintage car series.
“I’m grateful to be working for a number of clients and two publishers, Airship27 and AHOY! Comics, and eager to showcase my recent efforts," said Ed Catto, an instructor at the School of Business. "All of the the Finger Lakes region, and especially Auburn, has blossomed with creativity and it’s so much fun to contribute.”
Catto, an enthusiast of the great illustrators of yesteryear, enjoys working in gouache and inks. This exhibition features a mix of each and all are available for purchase. And on opening night, Catto’s printed work, including books, comics and stickers will be available for purchase.
Opening night will run from 5-10 pm on Friday, September 1, 2023. The popular band, The Honky Tonk Hindooz, will be the featured musical performers. A Brushful of Pulp runs for two months, through October 31st.
