Ithaca College alumnus Bob Yavits (H&S, mid-1980s) passed away last year on September 06, 2022. His obituary can be read via the following link:

Bob was a long-time instructional designer at Tompkins Cortland Community College who left a great legacy of teaching and learning both at TC3 and within the State University of New York (SUNY) as a whole.
Bob's grandfather was Isadore “Doe” Yavits who was a member of both the Ithaca College and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) athletic halls of fame. "Doe" Yavits led the soccer program at Ithaca College from 1932 to 1962. Yavits Field was named after him in recognition of all the work he had done for the college.
