Attention IC students, faculty, and staff! You’re invited to put together a team for this first-ever 5v5 tournament, which will be held Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the new outdoor courts. The event is being held in honor of Christopher G. Gegwich ’92. Chris was a distinguished attorney, father, brother, and more who lost his life to COVID in 2020 at the age of only 50. His family created a foundation to support organizations that meant a lot to him. Chris was a kind, generous person who loved many things, including music, theater, museums, and dinosaurs. Another passion of his was basketball. At Ithaca, Chris was known for his rebounding, hustle, and skill in putting together a championship intramural basketball team.
