The Center for Faculty Excellence will host a series of workshops on how to facilitate. These workshops are open to all full and part-time course instructors and provide a space where educators can come together to share experiences and gain new skills.
The groups are designed to help foster a community of practice between faculty and are first come first served. Please see the schedule below and click the link to register.
Differences Between Teaching and Facilitation: Explore the similarities and differences between these practices and the skills needed to break down barriers to creativity and communication and encourage success in all students.
Various Types of Facilitation: Discuss the pedagogy behind facilitating group discussions and how to facilitate classroom management.
Inclusive Facilitation: Navigate teaching’s complex terrain together. Engage in dialogues focusing on how to facilitate conversations about difficult or triggering topics.
Toolkit of Techniques: Elevate teaching practices and enrich collective knowledge by creating a physical or virtual toolbox with facilitation techniques.
