It is with profound sadness that we learned of the recent passing of former Ithaca College trustee Dr. Orinthia T. Montague. “Dr. O,” as she was known, was serving as the fourth president of Volunteer State Community College in Tennessee.

She was not just a colleague and trustee but also a neighbor of sorts, having served as president of Tompkins Cortland Community College from 2017 to 2021. She will be missed, and our condolences go out to her family and to the countless people whose lives she touched.
