Friday, October 20th
10 am- 5 pm
In-person and on Zoom
The Cornell LGBT Resource Center is holding a legal name change clinic in collaboration with the Cornell Law School, and they have offered time slots to any Ithaca College students who would like to participate. Time slots will be available via Zoom or in person at the CU LGBTRC from 10am-5 pm.
Filling paperwork for a name change can often feel overwhelming. The LGBTRC in collaboration with the Cornell Law School will be offering a name change clinic where you can work with a law student on getting this paperwork done and filed on your behalf.
To participate in the Name Change Clinic you will have to register for a time slot by clicking the registration link. In order to complete this process you will be sent an intake form with your RSVP confirmation, you will also need to bring your birth certificate OR a certified copy of your birth certificate OR have access to a color, high quality pdf version of your birth certificate for your appointment.
Appointments are available on zoom and in person. If your meeting is on Zoom, you do not need access to a printer or scanner but if you do, the process will be much faster. If you do not, you will have to wait for documents to be mailed to you that you will need to sign and send back before your paperwork can be filed. You can use the printer and scanner in the IC LGBT Center if you chose a virtual appointment.
Please look at the FAQ document for any questions or feel free to email Crissi Dalfonzo, Director of the IC LGBT Center at cdalfonzo@ithaca.edu.
**Please note- you MUST sign up for a time slot through Cornell's event- https://cglink.me/2ee/r2211967. You will need to create a guest account in their event software, for which you can use for IC email.**
