The construction of the mandala is set to officially begin! We hope you can join us at 10:00 a.m. this morning in the Upper Atrium of the Park School of Business for a special opening ceremony, hosted by President Cornish and representatives from Namgyal Monastery Institute of Buddhist Studies, to officially kick off construction of this year's sand mandala (geometric religious diagram).
This event begins six days of learning experiences and programming centered around the construction of the mandala on our campus. Each day, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., the Tibetan monks will work on the construction of the mandala, before pausing their work at 3:00 p.m. to lead a brief ritual chanting and meditation session.
For individuals unable to join us in-person, please know that you can view the opening ceremony and construction of the mandala throughout the next six days on our mandala livestream.
