Feeling Sad? Learn how you can screen yourself for depression

REVISED 20 OCTOBER:
Due to a change in plans, Ithaca College JED Campus Initiative is promoting information about how to get screened for depression rather than having a formal onsite screening day.  Any member of the Ithaca College Community is able to screen themselves  at anytime for depression using the Depression Screening Tool.   Students needing assistance are encouraged to contact the Center for Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS); faculty and staff needing assistance are encouraged to contact the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

Our campus community can always screen themselves for a variety of moods by visiting this page of screening tools which is housed on the resource web page of the Center for Psychological and Counseling Services, CAPS; scroll down to begin by chosing a question describing how you are feeling.

JED Depression Awareness Event - October 24th

Those who attend will get to build-your-own free self-care kit, that will include items like stress balls, bubbles, tea bags, stickers, affirmation cards, sleep masks, and more. A raffle will also be available with a variety of items like essential oils, paint books, a yoga mat, puzzles, crayons, games, journals, zen fountains, and more.  Light refreshments will be provided.
