Ithaca College is welcoming Melissa Gibson to campus on November 4th to speak with students about the hemp/CBD industry and sustainable business practices. With degrees in Agriculture Economics and Management from Cornell University and a Masters of Brand Management from the University of Georgia, she began her career with a pioneering database marketing company and then went on to found her own business development consulting firm, New In Town Inc.
In 2015 as a 50+ USA Snowboarding Champion, Melissa finally found relief from her multiple autoimmune conditions when she was introduced to a hemp-derived compound called CBD. Based on her successful journey with the hemp plant, and dramatically improved health, Melissa made a commitment to teach others what she had learned, and founded Qple LLC, a quadruple bottom line consultancy with a focus on reemerging hemp industries. Under Qple, Melissa created the brand Hemp & Humanity to provide education about CBD and other hemp-derived products, and to offer a Consciously Curated Collection of CBD products that help to optimize health.
