The Department of Health Sciences and Public Health offers minors in Health, Coaching, Aging Studies and Nutrition Promotion.

Several of the courses in our minors can satisfy ICC requirements.

Are you interested in learning more health and wellness? The Health Minor might be a good choice for you. The minor offers flexibility so that you can take courses in many different areas of health including:  

- HLTH 11300 Personal Health

- HLTH 11700 Foundations of Public Health

- HLTH 20500 Critical Health Issues

- HLTH 20100 Food and Society

- HLTH 20200 Human Nutrition

- HLTH 21300 Wellness

- HLTH 30600 Counseling Skills for Health Professionals.

Interested in coaching a sport in the future? Consider signing up for a Coaching Minor. Several courses are offered in the minor in Spring 2024:

  • PHED 25500 Philosophy and Principles of Coaching
  • HLTH 25600 Health Sciences Applied to Coaching
  • HLTH 21000 Teaching Sport Skills for Coaching, and PHED 31000 Contemporary Challenges in Sport.
