Geshe Lhakdor, a close assistant to His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama and internationally recognized Tibetan Buddhist scholar, will give a Buddhist perspective on the nature of peace on Monday, November 27, from 12–1 p.m. in Klingenstein Lounge in the Campus Center. The Geshe (a Tibetan title roughly equivalent to “professor”) was the Dalai Lama’s translator from 1989–2005 and has rendered several works of the Dalai Lama into English. An expert in Buddhist philosophy, he is currently Director of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives in Dharamsala, India, one of the most important Tibetan archives in the world. All are welcome.
