As the year draws to a close, we're approaching an important milestone: the sunset of our current Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform, encompassing Nolij and IC Workflow, scheduled for December 31st. This marks a significant multi-year effort by the Division of Information Technology and Analytics, alongside numerous dedicated campus partners, to transition our forms, workflows, and documents to more modern platforms with enhanced capabilities.
We've made considerable progress over the past two years, with many elements already successfully migrated. Rest assured, for the most part, you'll continue to access forms as usual. For those utilizing the IC Workflow link on apps.ithaca.edu post-transition, you will observe some updates in its look and feel. Additionally, bookmarks using “ecm.ithaca.edu” will seamlessly redirect you to the correct pages.
With this change, some forms and processes will introduce new approval steps. Should you be an approver in a process undergoing these modifications, the administrative area overseeing that process will provide further details. This also applies to accessing documents previously housed in Nolij.
Although we're retiring “Nolij”, the new platform will retain the familiar name of “IC Workflow”. As we near the completion of this extensive project, it's natural to feel the pressure of these final stages. Given the complexity of the current ECM platform, there's chance something might be overlooked or not function as expected. Should you have any concerns regarding documents or processes, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly at rsnyder4@ithaca.edu or reach out to Ilene Parlin at iparlin@ithaca.edu for assistance.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation during this transition.
