Congratulations to our campus community as we put the finishing touches on what has been a wonderful Fall 2023 semester. As we look ahead to the upcoming Winter Break, Ithaca College will have some alterations to the typical services and resources available to individuals remaining on campus. During this period many offices and campus support resources will have more limited hours and/or will be closed during the period of Monday, December 18, until the beginning of the Spring 2024 semester on Monday, January 22. As a reminder, the college will also be fully closed from Saturday, December 23, through Monday, January 1. Keep reading for more information on the various campus support resources that will have altered availability.

Ithaca College Dining Services
Ithaca College Dining Services will have significant changes to its hours of operation for its retail and dining hall locations during the Winter Break period from Monday, December 18, through, Sunday, January 21.
**REMINDER: The IC Meal Plan for the Spring 2024 semester does not begin until Tuesday, January 16. Students arriving early due to a campus job or varsity sports team should be in touch with their supervisor/coach for meal coverage during this time. All others will need to pay retail price for meal swipes or retail options until the Meal Plan officially launches.**
Monday, December 18 – Tuesday, January 2
Ithaca Bakery will be open for breakfast and lunch service from 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 18, Tuesday, December 19, and Wednesday, December 20.
All other dining hall and retail options will be closed during this period.
Wednesday, January 3 – Sunday, January 7
Dining Services will begin reopening limited dining services during the first week of January.
Ithaca Bakery will be open for breakfast and lunch service from 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, Thursday, January 4, and Friday, January 5.
The Terrace Dining Hall will reopen for service beginning on Wednesday, January 3, and will provide two-hour service windows for breakfast (7:00-9:00 a.m.), lunch (11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.), and dinner (4:30-6:30 p.m.) daily.
All other dining halls and retail options will be closed this week.
Monday, January 8 – Sunday, January 14
Ithaca Bakery will be open daily for breakfast and lunch service from 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
The Food Court in IC Square will also resume operations this week with limited hours from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily from Monday, January 8, through Friday, January 12.
The Campus Center Dining Hall will reopen for service beginning on Monday, January 8, and will provide two-hour service windows for breakfast (7:00-9:00 a.m.), lunch (11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.), and dinner (4:30-6:30 p.m.) daily this week.
The Terrace Dining Hall, as well as all other dining halls and retail options not listed above will remain closed this week.
Monday, January 15 – Sunday, January 21
On Monday, January 15, Ithaca College observes the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The Campus Center Dining Hall will offer its daily hours, but all other dining halls and retail locations will be closed.
Ithaca Bakery will begin extending its hours of operation this week beginning on Tuesday, January 16. It will be open daily from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, through Friday, January 19. It will have weekend hours on Saturday, January 20, and Sunday, January 21, from 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
The Food Court at IC Square will also extend hours this week, opening from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, through Friday, January 19. No weekend hours offered.
The Campus Center Dining Hall will also extend its hours of operation this week beginning Tuesday, January 16. From Tuesday, January 16, through Friday, January 19, it will be open for breakfast (7:00 – 10:15 a.m.), lunch (11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.), and dinner (4:30 – 8:00 p.m.). On Saturday, January 20, it will offer brunch (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) and dinner (4:30 – 8:00 p.m.) service. The Campus Center Dining Hall will be closed on Sunday, January 21.
The Terrace Dining Hall will resume operation for one day on Sunday, January 21, with breakfast (8:00 – 11:00 a.m.), lunch (11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.), late lunch (2:30 – 5:00 p.m.), and dinner (5:00 – 9:00 p.m.) service.
All other dining locations not listed above will remain closed during this week.

Ithaca College Food Pantry
From Monday, December 18, through Thursday, January 18, the Ithaca College Food Pantry will continue to offer service on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Please note that this DOES NOT include the week of the college closure from Monday, December 25, through Sunday, December 31.
During this period, the panty will be suspending its one bag limit to ensure that folks remaining in the Ithaca area have access to resources to sustain them during the college closure. Please be sure to stock up on all necessities to get you through the final week of December.

Health Center
Cayuga Health at Ithaca College at the Hammond Health Center will be closed during the Winter Break from Saturday, December 16, through Sunday, January 21. Administrative staff will be available to respond to any non-clinical questions received via email IChealth@cayugahealth.org or by phone at (607) 274-3177.
Students in need of clinical care during this period should seek off-campus options. Please note that the college will not be offering its Medicar service during this period. If you are experiencing a medical emergency please refer to the Emergencies and After Hours Care page to see how you should proceed.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
The Office of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will have normal hours of operation during college business hours during the Winter Break and will be available for virtual appointments. Please note that CAPS is not licensed to host virtual appointments with any student who is not currently in New York State.
CAPS will be closed Saturday, December 23, through Monday, January 1, in conjunction with the college-wide closure. During this period, individuals are always able to utilize the CAPS After-Hours On-Call Service, which is available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. To reach this service, please dial (607) 274-3136 and follow the prompts. This service is available to all individuals regardless if their current location is within or outside of New York State.

The Campus Center will have augmented hours of operation during the upcoming Winter Break period. Please note the following hours of operation:

The Campus Center will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. daily.
Saturday, December 23 – Monday, January 1
The Campus Center will be closed in conjunction with the college closure.
Tuesday, January 2 – Sunday, January 7
The Campus Center will be open daily during traditional business hours 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, through Friday, January 5. The Campus Center will be closed and will not offer weekend hours on Saturday, January 6, and Sunday, January 7.
Monday, January 8 – Sunday, January 14
The Campus Center will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. daily beginning Monday, January 8, through Friday, January 12. Weekend hours will also be added this week with hours of operation from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, and hours of operation from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 14.
Monday, January 15 – Sunday, January 21
The Campus Center will be closed on Monday, January 15, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The remainder of the week, including the weekend, the Campus Center will have open hours of operation from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. daily.
Regular hours of operation for the Campus Center will resume on Monday, January 22.

Fitness Center
The Fitness Center will have limited hours of operation during the Winter Break.
Saturday, December 16 – Monday, January 1: CLOSED
Tuesday, January 2 – Friday, January 5: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, January 6 – Sunday, January 21: The Fitness Center will be open on weekdays (Monday-Friday) from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. The Fitness Center will not offer weekend hours during the Winter Break period.
Normal Fitness Center hours resume on Monday, January 22.

Office of Residential Life
All residence halls, except for Eastman, Tallcott and Terrace 6, are closed during Winter break and offer break housing options after the college reopens in January. During Winter break, if you live in a closed residence hall you must vacate your room for the duration of the break. Residence Halls reopen for students, living in the same room as their fall room, on Monday, January 1, 2024 at 1:00pm. Circle and Garden Apartments remain open during Winter break. For the 2023-24 academic year, Eastman, Tallcott, and Terrace 6 are offering break housing over the entire Winter Break.
The Circle and Garden Apartments, Eastman, Tallcott, and Terrace 6 remain open for all current residents who are living in the same on-campus housing assignment for both the Fall and Spring semesters. Room assignment changes cannot occur during break periods.
Residents must complete the Winter Break Registration Form to register the dates they will stay in their assigned rooms during the break period. Only students who completed the form prior to it being closed will be approved to stay in December or return in January.

Several departments in the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life may have slight changes to their hours of operation or typical services during the Winter Break. These include, but may not be limited to: Office of New Student and Transition Programs, First Generation Center, MLK Scholars Program, BIPOC Unity Center, Student Accessibility Services, Center for LGBT Education, Outreach and Services, Office of ICare and Student Support, and the Office of Student Engagement. Please note that these offices will be closed from Saturday, December 23, through Monday, January 1 in conjunction with the college closure. Office will also be closed on Monday, January 15, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
