Auditions for IC Unbound Dance Co.'s Spring 2024 company will be taking place Sunday, 1/28 at 6 PM in the Fitness Center. Check in will begin at 5:30 PM.
About our company: IC Unbound Dance Company is Ithaca College's largest and longest-running dance company! We are a fully student-led program with student choreographers leading dances in countless different styles (although we usually focus on jazz, contemporary, tap, and hip-hop, we are not limited to that!) We hold a showcase once a semester with plenty of smaller performance opportunities throughout the semester. We also host many company-wide bonding events to cultivate a strong dance family!
At auditions, you will be able to choose your own adventure for how much you would like to be involved with the company. Each choreographer will show a few counts of their piece for the semester and you choose which dances you would like to audition for. You then will choose how many hours a week you would like to dance, 1-5. From there, the choreographers will decide who they would like in their pieces and we will let you know on the night of auditions which dances you were selected to be in. It sounds complex, but we promise it makes more sense once you're there! Other than your weekly classes, optional bonding events, and showcases, the only other commitments we have for you will be three Sunday evening all-company rehearsals and our optional (but highly encouraged!) promotional photo and video shoots!
