Now that you know what research or creative projects you'll be working on between now and April, consider presenting at the 2024 James J. Whalen Academic Symposium! (Alternatively, you're welcome to present a research or creative project you completed for one of your fall courses!)
The James J. Whalen Academic Symposium is IC’s distinctive annual showcase of hundreds of students' mentored research and creative projects. Students in every major in every school are enthusiastically invited to participate. You choose whether to give an oral or poster presentation or to perform or present a creative work.
Who? YOU (on your own or with friends or classmates) and a faculty mentor
When? Thursday, April 11, 2024
Where? Campus Center
Why? Celebrate your learning and educate and inspire others! Hone your research, performance, and presentation skills!
How? Present a poster; given an oral presentation; or present your creative work!
Submit your abstract by March 7. (The abstract to present is a 250–500 word summary of your project; the optional abstract to be considered for an award requires a 500–750 word summary.)
