The Ithaca College Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and the men's and women's basketball teams would like to invite all faculty and staff members to this Friday's (February 9) doubleheader against St. Lawrence University in Ben Light Gymnasium inside the Hill Center. The women's game begins at 5:30 p.m. and the men's contest follows at 7:30 p.m.
The first 50 fans through the door at Women’s Basketball will receive a FREE ‘Ithaca Bombers” rally towel and the first 50 fans to arrive at Men’s Basketball will receive an official “Ithaca Bombers” drawstring bag!
Not only will Friday be a fun event for all families, but the contests against St. Lawrence hold playoff implications for the upcoming Liberty League Championship.
The women, who are 16-4 on the season, are currently third in the league standings behind Vassar and Skidmore. A win for the Bombers will increase their chances of securing a coveted opening round bye in the playoffs.
The IC men are 11-9 and are tied for fifth in the standings. IC could move into fourth place, which comes with hosting rights in the opening round, with a win over the Saints, who are tied for first. The stage is set for an exciting matchup.
Additional Entertainment On Friday:
- Kids face painting with Ithaca Field Hockey from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
- DJ Washburn will return to South Hill to provide excitement throughout the afternoon.
- FREE 50/50 raffle drawing for an IC gameday blanket and laser engraved Ithaca Bombers wooden wall plaque (one item drawn during the 3rd quarter of each game).
Complimentary beverages and refreshments will be provided between games courtesy of IC Dining Services.
