JED Campus Initiative's Stop and Breathe Week Events

Event Title: Guided Meditation

Description:  Meditation sessions are available at noon EST on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in Muller Chapel.  Open to All

Event Title:  Tree Id Stroll 
Time: 3pm - 4pm 
Location: meet at main entrance of Hammond Health Building 
Description:   Bring your curiosity as we stroll around Hammond Health Building and meander towards Muller Chapel while we get to know our tree neighbors. By noticing clues in bud, branches, & bark, we will explore how to identify trees in Winter. The walk will be short with frequent stops for discussion - please dress accordingly for the weather! All participants are encouraged to unplug earbuds & silence phones. The walk will culminate with enjoying the wonderful view of Chapel Pond from Muller Chapel. Light refreshments will be available afterwards.

Event Title:  Cycling 
Time: 3:15pm - 4pm  
Location: Campus Fitness Center Aerobics Room 
Description:  Using indoor stationary bikes, your instructor will guide you through a comprehensive cycling work out. Each bike is equipped with a resistance knob that you control, so that you can follow the class' resistance pattern, which simulates hills within your own comfort level. Bikes are limited, so be sure to sign up early.

Time: 4pm - 4:45pm  
Location: Campus Fitness Center  
Description:   Meet Liguori on the mat for a yoga class that will not only improve your strength and flexibility, but will allow you to take a step away from the rest of the world, de-stress, and focus your intentions on being present in the moment and listening to your own body. This class is tailored to each individual body, incorporating therapeutic postural alignment techniques to allow you to move and bring space to your body in the way it most needs it, while challenging your body to move deeply with muscle engagement throughout each pose. Channel your inner strength and balance, and connect your mind and body as you move mindfully through this flow class appropriate for all levels.

Event Title:  Restorative Yoga

Description:   Feeling stressed out, restless, busy? Take the time to refresh and renew your body and mind with this restorative yoga class. You will use props such as blankets and bolsters to fully support your body in a variety of positions including light twists and gentle bends. The deep and complete sustained relaxation into each pose will help to relieve tension as you find a quality of calmness in your body and mind. You will always walk away from this class with a lightness to carry with you for the rest of your day.
