Announcing Exciting Updates Regarding the BOLD Women’s Leadership Network Program

By News, February 27, 2024

Dear Ithaca College Community,

We share this message with you today to provide some important and exciting updates regarding the BOLD Women’s Leadership Network. We are thrilled to announce that the BOLD program at Ithaca College has officially received notice from the Helen Gurley Brown Foundation that its grant funding will be renewed for the upcoming cycle and authorization has been approved by Ithaca College’s senior leadership to open an application process to select a new junior cohort of BOLD Scholars to begin during the Fall 2024 semester.

Since its inception as a BOLD member institution and the recruitment of its first cohort in 2017, IC’s BOLD Women’s Leadership Network has provided significant financial support and a robust series of professional development and leadership development opportunities to six cohorts of IC students. In consultation with the Helen Gurley Brown Foundation, Ithaca College made the difficult decision not to select a new cohort during the Spring 2023 semester in order to ensure the alignment of our program goals with those of the collective goals for BOLD partner institutions. Currently, the BOLD program is operating a single cohort of scholars who are set to graduate during the Spring 2024 semester. With the continued support from the Helen Gurley Brown Foundation secured, we are excited to be able to move forward with launching a junior cohort search process and affirm our commitment to supporting and developing future generations of exceptional student leaders here at IC.
