Discover Your Zen Zone: Find Peace in our Redesigned Meditation Room

By Austin Reid, April 3, 2024

The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life is excited to share that the Interfaith Meditation Room at Muller Chapel has recently been redecorated with an eye toward comfort and creating a contemplative atmosphere! We invite all members of our campus community to visit the chapel to experience the serene ambiance of our newly redecorated shared space. We hope this room will provide a retreat from the busyness of life.

Situated on the lower level of Muller Chapel, adjacent to the Catholic Community office, the Interfaith Meditation Room welcomes all students, faculty, and staff to partake in moments of reflection, prayer, or meditation. This shared space is maintained by the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life.

New Additions include:

✨ A Zen garden to soothe your senses

✨ A Buddha Board to engage creativity

✨ Comfy throw pillows for enhanced relaxation

✨ A small collection of books and various aids for contemplation

Please visit anytime during the week between 8:00am and 10:00pm. We kindly ask all visitors to respect the many uses of this space by removing their shoes upon entry and refraining from bringing in alcohol or meat products. A shoe rack is provided outside the door for visitors.

Group Reservations:

Are you planning to visit with friends or colleagues? For groups of more than two people, please reserve the room through our main office by emailing us at SpiritualLife@ithaca.edu.

Your Feedback Matters:

We value your input! If you have any suggestions or ideas to enhance the space further, please don't hesitate to email us at SpiritualLife@ithaca.edu. Your feedback helps us create an even more welcoming environment for all.

Take a moment to rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit at Muller Chapel's Interfaith Meditation Room. We look forward to seeing you!
