All members of our campus community are invited to gather in Muller Chapel on Thursday, April 18th for a Service of Remembrance. This service will be conducted from 12:10 to 12:55.
During this solemn occasion, we will pay tribute to alumni, faculty, staff, and students from our campus community who have departed over the past year. Their contributions to our community will be remembered and their memories honored. Reflections on the lives of Oscar Raymond Mayer ‘18, Rachel Heiss ‘13, Dr. Abraham Mulugetta, Butch McCraken, Patty Zimmermann, Blaze Myers, and Tyler Scerbo will be read. Time will also be observed during the service for each person present to hold in their hearts the memories of those they have lost.
The Service of Remembrance will feature a selection of prayers, poetry readings, and biographical excerpts that celebrate the lives of those our community has lost. As a symbolic gesture of remembrance, we will also light memorial candles in their honor and place flowers by collected photographs.
For those seeking additional information about this service, please contact Austin Reid, interim director of the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life. Individuals who are unable to attend the service in person will be able to view the service over Zoom. The link for this room is found here.
