Along with the Gorges and the Farmer's Market, one of the joys of Ithaca is its twice-yearly Friends of the Tompkins Library Booksale. After their first visit, students have told me they could not believe they did not know about it, and that they would never miss a future sale. Don't miss out!
Starting this weekend and going for two weekends more (Sat, Sun, Mon of each), the sale has albums, DVDs, CDs, maps, puzzles, games, comics, and books of every sort. It is fun to go the first day (sale starts with a line around the block!), but also on the second weekend, when the selection is still excellent but the prices have gone down. One of the last days has prices as 10c for anything in the whole place!
Wednesday, May 15th, 4-8pm is Student Night with special prices.
Here is the site for the sale, which includes a camera outside the door to show you whether there is a line to get in. It also has the hours, what the prices are for each day of the sale, and more. There will be another sale in October, just as big as this one!
This is worth checking out -- grab a friend and head down there this weekend as a break from studying!
