Luca Maurer served as an invited guest speaker at the NCAA Inclusion Forum, held April 24 - 26 in Indianapolis. The forum brought together more than 650 leaders within higher education and intercollegiate athletics, including student-athletes, to engage in powerful programming and enhance efforts on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives.
Maurer spoke alongside colleagues from the University of Minnesota, Grand Valley State University, and Athlete Ally in a session focused on ways coaches, administrators and athletes can develop intersectionally inclusive practices within their departments and institutions.
The convening kicked off with a guest appearance by Dawn Staley, Head Coach of the University of South Carolina's women's basketball team. Speakers also included Dr. C. Keith Harrison, professor of Business/Hip Hop Sports, University of Central Florida; and LZ Granderson, columnist for the Los Angeles Times and ABC News contributor.
