Campus Community,
This is reminder that on Friday, May 31, the Office of Facilities will be performing required maintenance on the electrical infrastructure on Ithaca College’s South Hill campus. Beginning at 6:00 a.m., power will be taken offline to the entire campus – with the exception of the Circle Apartments and buildings located on Farm Pond Road – to complete this necessary work. It is anticipated that power will be offline throughout the day before being restored during the evening hours once the maintenance work is completed.
Dining Updates
Ithaca College Dining Services will have modified operations on Friday, May 31, as a result of the power shutdown. The only dining service location that will remain open is the Campus Center Dining Hall, which will provide breakfast (7:00 – 9:00 a.m.), lunch (11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.), and dinner (5:00 – 6:30 p.m.) service. All other dining hall and retail locations will be closed.
Due to the maintenance work occurring in the Campus Center, anyone utilizing the Campus Center Dining Hall will need to enter through the east-side doors leading directly to the Campus Center Dining Hall. All other entrances to the Campus Center will be closed.
Those with meal plans will be able to utilize their meal plan to eat at the Campus Center Dining Hall. Those without a meal plan will need to pay retail cost for the meal service in order to eat at the dining hall.
Normal dining operations are expected to resume on Saturday, June 1.
Residential Life Updates
For students residing in campus housing impacted by the power shutdown, limited space will be available in the Circles Community Center. The Circles Office will be staffed from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and will let students in to utilize the available Community Center space.
As always, staff from the Office of Facilities will be present on campus during the shutdown and on call after power is restored to ensure all systems resume to their normal functions.
Please contact the Office of Facilities at (607) 274-3225 if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your understanding as we take this opportunity to perform this important work.
