The Space Management Working Group would like to notify the campus community that over the summer, individuals from the group, as well as Student Planning Assistants, will be surveying space throughout Academic and Administrative buildings between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm, Monday -Thursday.
Over the coming days and weeks, two student workers will be visiting spaces and gathering information that will enable floor plans to be updated with the most current information. Information that will be gathered includes any renovations that have not been properly updated on the floor plans, current occupants of the individual spaces, noticeable Facilities Maintenance work order needs in spaces that appear unoccupied, and a technology inventory for common use spaces.
Information that is gathered through this process will serve as a basis for the Working Group’s important work of ensuring that space is being most efficiently used to meet institutional needs.
It is requested that if you do encounter anyone who is completing this survey in your space, that you provide them with any information that you may have regarding spaces that may appear unoccupied, as well as if any spaces are being used by multiple occupants who have flexible work arrangements.
It is likely that after the survey has been completed, individuals from the Working Group will contact leaders of the individual areas for additional information, as well as to ensure information is accurate and complete.
