New IC Workflow Portal Launching Monday, June 24th

By Jenna Edwards, June 24, 2024

New IC Workflow platform will be live on Monday, June 24th beginning at 10:00am!

The Division of Information Technology and Analytics (IT&A), in collaboration with our dedicated campus partners, is in the final stages of retiring the Nolij document management tool within the IC Workflow platform. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to leveraging technology that meets the evolving needs of our academic community with a lens on fiscal responsibility and security.

What to Expect Beginning June 24:

The NEW IC Workflow Portal will be available via apps.ithaca.edu on Monday, June 24th at 10:00am.

  • Enhanced Personalization: Forms in the new platform have access to extensive data integration to offer more personalized and pre-filled forms, reducing the time you spend on submissions.
  • Unchanged Processes: While the appearance of some forms has changed, rest assured that the underlying processes and your current access permissions remain intact. For example, if you have been accessing student forms via the Office of the Registrar’s website, the links will be updated to direct you to the new versions of these forms, without affecting your access rights.

    What to Do Next:

  • Bookmark the New URL: Familiarize yourself with the new IC Workflow Portal, which mirrors the look and functionality of the current IC Workflow homepage. The new portal can be accessed beginning on Monday, June 24, 2024 via the apps.ithaca.edu homepage beginning at 10:00am.
  • Complete In-Process Forms: Any forms currently in progress will not be transferred to the new platform. If you currently have forms pending approval, we encourage you to complete the approval process promptly. Access to the IC Workflow Legacy Portal will be maintained on the apps.ithaca.edu page until Friday, September 6, 2024 at 5:00 pm.

    Training for Approvers:

  • Scheduled Trainings: To ensure a smooth transition, we will be offering training sessions for approvers late summer/early fall to accommodate faculty schedules. These sessions will provide a comprehensive overview of the new platform and its features, ensuring that approvers are well-equipped to complete their responsibilities. These trainings will be recorded and links to recordings will be provided to users at a later date.

Stay tuned for more details on the training schedule and how to register. We are committed to providing the support needed to make this transition as seamless as possible.

We appreciate your cooperation during this transition period. If you have any questions or require assistance, please submit a help ticket here: Report an IC Workflow Problem or Issue
