The Grounds Department, in conjunction with Ruston Paving, will be performing asphalt repairs around campus over the coming weeks. Work will be performed on many sidewalks, as well as roadways and parking lots.
Beginning this week, Ruston Paving will be beginning to key-in various sidewalks to prepare for asphalt overlays. Sidewalk areas that will have work performed on them include the Lower Quads, Garden Apartments in the vicinity of Garden 27 and Garden 28, the walkways to the south of the outdoor basketball and tennis courts, the West end of the Academic Quad from the Fountains to F-Lot, the West end of Hood Hall, and the walks to the North of Muller Faculty Center.
Also, as we continue to make strides to improve accessibility around campus, work will be performed on the ADA spaces located in A-Lot by the Fitness Center, as well as by Boothroyd Hall. Additional ADA spaces will also be constructed to the South of the A&E Center in M-Lot. The ADA spaces on the North end of F-Lot will also be reconstructed later this month as part of the repave of the remaining sections of F-Lot.
Along with repaving the remaining sections of F-Lot, parking lot work will also be performed in a section of Upper R-Lot. Additional communication will be forthcoming in regard to these parking lot projects as the start date becomes more refined. Information will also be posted at the entries of these lots prior to the work beginning to ensure individuals are aware.
The dates and timing of this work are subject to weather delays and will be communicated if delays occur. Any questions or concerns can be directed to the Office of Facilities at 607-274-3225.We apologize for the inconvenience this work may cause and thank you for your cooperation as we work to improve the College’s infrastructure.
