The Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management wants to make the campus community aware of criminal trespass incidents that occurred on Sunday, July 14, and Monday, July 15. An individual, identified as Simeon Adams, age 30, was previously restricted from Ithaca College premises and arrested when found in violation of the trespass restriction notice on Wednesday, February 21. Adams, who has no current affiliation with the college, was arrested again on Monday, July 15, on the Ithaca College campus for violating the trespass restriction.
While these incidents did not involve any specific threats to the campus community, we felt it was important to share this update. As always, the safety and well-being of our campus community is Public Safety’s top priority. We encourage you to contact Public Safety immediately if you see this individual on the IC campus.
Members of the campus community are reminded to always lock their vehicles, offices, rooms, and apartments; to not prop open residence hall doors or let anyone “piggyback” after you into a residence hall; and to immediately report any unusual or suspicious activity to the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management by calling 607-274-3333 or using a Blue Light Phone on campus or contacting local law enforcement by calling 911 off campus.
