Members of the campus and local community are invited to attend the First Responder Charity Softball Tournament, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, at Kostrinsky Field on the Ithaca College campus. This event aims to bring the community together for a day of fun, teamwork, and philanthropy, with proceeds going to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Taking part in the friendly competition will be the Ithaca College Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management, Cornell University Police Department, Ithaca Police Department, and Tompkins County Sheriff's Office.
Attendees can look forward to a great competition, delicious food, and entertainment for all ages, including:
• Opening Ceremony: Moment of Remembrance and National Anthem
• Family Fun Zone: Yard games, water ballon races, wiffle ball, and McGruff the Crime Dog
• Wings Over Ithaca Lunch: Donation-based lunch catered by Wings Over Ithaca. All proceeds from the lunch will directly benefit AFSP, contributing to the overall fundraising goal.
• Raffle: Raffle prizes include passes to Trumansburg Golf Course, a night stay at La Tourelle Hotel, signed Buffalo Bills football, gift cards to local restaurants, and more!
We hope you will come out to enjoy a fantastic day of softball and community, all while supporting a cause near and dear to the hearts of many.
