What does Adding and Dropping classes Mean to you?

Add/Drop week is soon approaching and ends on Sunday, September 1st.

The deadline is listed on the academic calendar.

What does Add/Drop mean?

Students have the first week of classes only to take advantage of tweaking their schedule and adding or dropping a class(es). This option only occurs during the FIRST WEEK of the semester. Use the HomerConnect portal to add or drop any course. Any course(s) dropped during this period, will not show on a transcript. It will be as if the student was never registered for the course. You need to make sure you drop the course even if you never attend any classes, this is your responsibility.

Take advantage of the Swap a Class when adding/dropping a class. This will allow you to add/drop a class without worrying about dropping the class until you know the class you are adding is available.

Tutorials for adding or dropping classes can be found at:

To remain at full-time status, make sure you are registered for at least 12 credits. Additional information regarding full time and part-time status can be found at Part-Time or Full-Time: What's Best for You? | Ithaca College.
