Microsoft Copilot Available for Students!

Microsoft Copilot is now available for all Ithaca College students!

What is Microsoft Copilot?

Microsoft Copilot is an AI-powered chat designed for work. Whether you’re drafting a report, preparing a presentation, or brainstorming ideas, Copilot aims to streamline your tasks and enhance productivity. Copilot uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data from the public web to answer questions, summarize information, analyze data, generate text or visuals, and boost your productivity.

Copilot was made available for faculty and staff on September 21, 2023, and is now available for students using their Ithaca College Microsoft 365 account.

Getting Started with Copilot

  1. Open the Microsoft Edge Browser.
  2. Go to https://copilot.microsoft.com/
  3. Sign in using your Ithaca College credentials if prompted.
  4. At the top of Copilot are two options: Copilot and Notebook.
    1. In Copilot, enter text to plan, write, or summarize information, and choose a conversation style. It will reply with an AI-generated answer.
    2. In Notebook, entertext to generate content. The Notebook is perfect for refining prompts and working with longer content.
  5. To start a new chat session, click Refresh or New topic.
