WICB & VIC Radio's Spring 2024 Recruitment Night is Thursday, August 29 at 7:15 PM in the Roy H. Park School of Communications Auditorium (on the building's second floor). Attend to learn more about joining Ithaca's nationally recognized, award-winning student-run radio stations!

No radio experience is required and you can be ANY major, ANY class standing. We want you to be part of this incredible co-curricular experience.

This semester's event will include a brief presentation featuring introductions by the WICB and VIC Radio Executive Staffs, details on how to get involved, and the opportunity to speak with current staff members to sign up.

Ithaca's two award-winning radio stations, WICB and VIC Radio, are looking for new students to join their staff, with spots available in all departments. Get involved in on-air DJ'ing, sports, news, production, podcasting, promotions, public relations, writing, graphic design, and many other areas of radio.

WICB is Ithaca College's FCC licensed radio station, heard locally at 91.7 FM. The station is on the air 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week, 365-days-a-year. WICB also streams online at wicb.org and can be heard using the WICB iOS mobile app and through iHeartRadio and TuneIn Radio. The station's staple music format is modern / alternative rock, with specialty programs that feature jazz, hip-hop, funk, punk, world music, folk, jam band music and more.

WICB has been recognized by The New York State Broadcasters Association, Syracuse Press Club, College Media Association and College Broadcasters, Inc., in addition to previously being voted Ithaca's Best Noncommercial Radio Station by readers of the Ithaca Times. WICB has been on-the-air in Ithaca for over 75-years and has a strong following of loyal listeners.

VIC Radio is Ithaca College's online-only radio station broadcasting at vicradio.org. Along with indie-alternative tracks, VIC airs many great specialty shows highlighting various genres - pop, lo-fi, folk, country, instrumental, world music, soundtracks, K-pop, classic rock and grunge music, to name a few. New specialty show and podcast ideas are always welcome!

Both stations also feature full news and sports departments, airing daily news and sportscasts, long-form news reporting and play-by-play coverage of Ithaca College sports.

WICB and VIC Radio were recently selected as top college radio stations by the Princeton Review.
