One Size Fits None: Getting to Trauma-Informed, Person-Centered Care in Post Acute Long-Term Care

Is it possible to have less conflict with and bias towards larger-bodied residents, particularly in a system that was not built for them? We will explore underlying biases toward larger people, trauma-informed care principles as they apply toward this population, and hopefully shift the discourse in caring for PALTC residents living in larger bodies.

Jennifer Muniak, MD, CMD (her/hers), Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics, University of Rochester Medical Director, Highlands at Brighton will discuss this important aspect of health equity that is often overlooked.
