Professor Eleanor Henderson in Conversation with Novelist Jonathan Lethem

Award-winning novelist Jonathan Lethem will be visiting the Ithaca Is Books Festival for a number of events this year, including a conversation with Department of Writing Professor Eleanor Henderson. Please join them at Buffalo Street Books on Friday, September 13 at 6PM for a reading from and conversation about his latest book, Brooklyn Crime Novel. An audience Q&A will follow.

Jonathan Lethem is the author of more than twenty books of fiction and nonfiction, including the novels Motherless Brooklyn (1999), which won the National Book Critics Circle Award, The Fortress of Solitude (2003), The Feral Detective (2018), The Arrest (2020), and Brooklyn Crime Novel (2023). The winner of a MacArthur "Genius" Fellowship, he teaches creative writing at Pomona College.

Eleanor Henderson is the author of the memoir Everything I Have Is Yours: A Marriage (2021) and two novels, The Twelve-Mile Straight (2017) and Ten Thousand Saints (2011). A 2024 NYSCA/NYFA Fellow in Fiction, she teaches in the Department of Writing at Ithaca College.
