Seedpod removal/Monarch butterfly support!

Do you love or appreciate Monarch butterflies?

Wonder how you can offer some care to the land here where IC stands?

Join some folks from the Nature Rx group at the parking lot entrance of the Park School of Communication on Monday, September 16th during the common hour (12:10pm) to help remove and bag the seedpods of swallowwort!

Swallowwort is an extremely invasive species which has gotten some footing here at IC, and while removing the seedpods won’t keep it from coming back in the Spring (we will have a digging party in the spring!) it will help prevent the spread of the plant, which is toxic (and deadly) to Monarch caterpillars.

We will have gloves to wear, and bags will be provided. Stay for the whole hour, or just five minutes – any help is appreciated!!
