Join the Office of International Programs and CEA CAPA Education Abroad for a workshop for Ithaca College students who have studied, lived, worked, and traveled internationally: Articulating Your International Experience. The workshop will be next Tuesday, September 25, in Klingenstein Lounge from 5:00-6:00 pm; pizza will be served. Please RSVP to let us know if you’ll be attending.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This workshop will be facilitated by our affiliated study abroad partner, CEA CAPA, but is for all IC students with previous international experiences, whether that is studying abroad, or living, traveling, or working in an international setting. Learn how to effectively add your international experiences to your resume, how to speak about them in interviews, and how to leverage your time abroad to help you fulfill your professional goals.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Keona Gardner, Senior Career Development & Internship Specialist at CEA CAPA, will lead the workshop. Keona is a NACE-Certified Career Coach who works towards ensuring that students are empowered as they work on their career readiness journey. Keona is originally from the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology at the University of Maryland, College Park. As a first-generation college student, she had the pleasure of leading service-learning experiences in various states and was granted the opportunity to study abroad in South Africa. That experience is what changed Keona’s trajectory — passion-wise — to make it a point to continue to immerse herself in various cultures respectfully and serve historically marginalized communities — connecting them to more significant opportunities. Shortly after receiving her undergraduate degree, Keona served as a Community and Youth Development Specialist in the Peace Corps in Morocco. She has also worked in the mental health field, educational non-profits, and workforce development to help strengthen partnerships for overall sustainable programming.
