Blind Date with a BANNED BOOK!

By Alison True, September 20, 2024

Want to get your hands on a Banned Book?

Each year, the library celebrates Banned Books Week from September 22nd-September 28th.

This year, the Banned Book Display is Blind Date with a Banned Book! Each book is wrapped in paper and decorated to show how dangerous these books are. For your safety, each book says whether it was "Banned" or "Challenged" and the reason for it. Are you brave enough to read a book with "Symbolic Expletives?" What about a novel that contains "Mental Illness," "Nudity," or is "Sexually Offensive?"

You can check these books out at the Circulation Desk. Be warned, the book may not be what it seems.
