Asma Barlas, Professor Emerita of Politics, gave a keynote, "Gender as a Problem in Islamic Theology and Qur'anic exegesis," at an international workshop hosted by the Berlin Institute for Islamic Theology, Humboldt University, Germany, on Oct. 10. The workshop was on "Women's Knowledge Production in Qur'anic Exegesis" and Barlas presented via Zoom.
