The American Bar Association recognizes the second Thursday of October as Ombuds Day to highlight the ombuds profession. The goals of Ombuds Day are to improve public awareness of ombuds, to connect ombuds in their respective communities, and to encourage greater use of ombuds programs and services.
In the spirit of Ombuds Day, the Ithaca College Faculty Ombuds Team encourages faculty to learn more about and make greater use of our office. We offer an informal and confidential space for faculty of all ranks to voice their work-related concerns. We listen with an open mind and explore options for productively managing and resolving your concerns, whatever they may be.
