What is Zoom AI Companion?

Zoom AI Companion integrates artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies into Zoom’s video communications platform, Zoom Workplace. These AI-driven features enhance meeting experiences, boost productivity, and deliver valuable insights.

How to Opt-In

Meeting hosts who wish to use Zoom AI Companion features may opt-in by enabling the desired features from within their Zoom account at https://ithaca.zoom.us/.

  1. Go to ithaca.zoom.us and sign in with your Ithaca College account.
  2. From the left menu bar, select Settings.
  3. In the top menu, select the AI Companion option.
  4. Toggle the desired features, such as Meeting summary with AI Companion and Allow users to ask AI Companion questions about the meeting.
    1. Each option can be toggled on or off independently.
    2. Changing settings in your Zoom account applies the changes to all future meetings.

Key Features

  1. In-Meeting Questions: Real-time chat assistance, summarizing discussions, and identifying action items.
  2. Meeting Summary: Comprehensive summaries highlighting key points and decisions, editable and shareable by the host.
  3. Meeting Coach: Post-meeting feedback on conversation factors like talk speed and filler word usage.
  4. Smart Chapters: Automatic segmentation of recorded meetings into distinct sections for easy navigation.
  5. Whiteboard Content: Automatically generated content from whiteboard sessions.
